Oh gosh, it’s been awhile since I’ve blogged.

Time flies! In a blink of an eye, Eilidh is already 8 months old! She’s just the most gorgeous wee lass I’ve ever laid my eyes upon.

STARTED ON SOLIDS

She has started on solids, and I have her on a mix of cuisines! My mom has been pushing her to eat only meat and congee, and then there are pro-BLW friends who have been pushing me to go full BLW. However, I’ve decided to shut them off and just go with my baby’s cues. Honestly the comments from know it all wannabes will never end. Furthermore being working mom, my helper or her caretaker has to be comfortable with her schedule and weaning method. Therefore, Eilidh is doing all of it! Puree, BLW, and Chinese congee meals!

I’ve realize she only eats well when she’s under cold climate – the amount of food she had in Japan was endless! Whereas now, I sometimes have problems making her finish her plate.

By 8 months, Eilidh is already on chunky purees, with a mix of finger food by the side or as a snack. I have also decrease the frequency of her milk feed but increase each intake. There’s only much time in a day to stuff Eilidh with food! I notice that she has alot more appetite to eat once I done decrease her frequency, and has slept through the night!! Hurray!!

It really took while before Eilidh got used to her schedule. But since now she is sleeping through the night, who’s complaining? 😝

Crawling or Walking?

So Eilidh shows all signs of mobility; she is planking, butt in the air, sitting up by herself, cruising along furniture, etc. But she refuse to push herself to crawl! Although, she loves it when we bring her on her feet and walk with her 🙃. I totally get her though, that’s how I feel about my double unders; I know I can do it if I try, but I’m perfectly happy with my singles 🤣.

Babling… Mama?

So she has already started babling since she was as young as 3 months old. However I have notice her saying “mum mum” when she gets really upset and uncomfortable. Thanks Eilidh.

All time Favourite: Bath time with Daddy!

She just loves this. Whenever I strip her naked, she starts kicking her legs and starts getting out of control, attempting to jump everywhere! She simply adores bath times with her Daddy 😘😘.

Next step Forward

Now that she is developing so quickly, my husband and I decided to send her for chinese lesson before she becomes a noob in manderin like me 😞😞. So, infant care it is! There is only so much my helper can teach Eilidh at home. Starting September, my helper will stay at my mom’s place instead while Eilidh will be spending most of her days in the Childcare centre.
